How about them apples?
Kathy: You want some apples? An apple a day keeps the doctor away!
Me: Actually, the lack of health insurance keeps the doctor away, but yeah, we’ll blame it on the apples.
I’m booked!

Action
This was taken earlier in the semester when Patrick and I decided that all of the people freaking out in our town needed to calm down. People were lining up around the block at the only gas station in town that had gas and tempers were flaring.
Seems kind of silly now that gas is $1.72 here, doesn’t it?
“Are you afraid God will take away your Jesus points?”
Sing it missthing.
Day Without A Gay
On December 10, the new organizing group JoinTheImpact is sponsoring the “Day without a gay” event. You’re supposed to call in to work, not shop and basically not participate in the economy for a whole day.
I understand the point that the organizers are trying to prove, and i don’t think any harm will be done by the action, but i don’t think it will accomplish much either.
That being said, I think it’s great that they are encouraging GLBT and allies to not just stop working and spending money, but to actually give back to the community. Volunteering with other organizations is encouraged and I think it will be a great way for people to get the word out about LGBT equality and demonstrate how we are a part of society and this country. We also deserve equality with other parts of society.
I hope that the action is successful and I’ll even be contributing where I can.
The Alabama page on the DWAG site is pretty much empty.
This is okay rather than someone signing up to organize something and then not doing anything to secure permits and make arrangements.
We’ll see what happens on December 10.
Because someone let me have caffiene after 9
When it gets late, it’s never a good idea for me to be around cameras… or guys with crutches.
I’m sorry,
I couldn’t resist. It’s time for Christmas music again
Behind the scenes of election night

One of the things I’m seeing about the coming Obama Administration is it’s transparency and openness with the American people.
The Obama camp just released this flickr stream showing us the night of the President elect and some tense moments with his family as they awaited election returns.
I feel like we just elected a human being.
